About the Position
Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is seeking to hire two Project Coordinators, one based in Belmopan, Belize and the other in Belize City, Belize, to support the delivery of SCG’s capacity building projects in Belize. These positions report to SCG’s Core Logistics Team, coordinate with project staff at headquarters, and represent the organization in stakeholder engagements. The Project Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring that all event logistics are delivered to a high standard of excellence. As integral members of SCG’s global logistics team, these positions will support the planning and delivery of all project activities; coordinate all in-country, regional, and international travel; and support the planning and delivery of all event logistics, including engaging with facility, interpretation, and catering vendors. The Project Coordinators will also conduct monitoring and evaluation interviews and contribute to project reporting.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Ideal candidates will have the knowledge and experience to support all logistical and operational aspects of event planning and execution; excellent communications skills (written and oral); ability to engage with senior officials; and experience with U.S. security assistance programs and/or U.S. Embassy programs and processes, including Leahy vetting and travel requirements. Specifically, candidates must be:
• Located in Belize and willing to travel in the region and to the U.S., as required;
• Fluent in Spanish;
• Proficient in English;
• Experienced in event planning, logistics, and execution;
• Skilled at coordinating and negotiating with vendors, hotels, and venues; and
• Familiar with U.S. government grant guidelines.
